USDA Begins Phased Reopening of Cattle Imports

The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) began its phased reopening of livestock imports from Mexico that were put on pause for over a year due to the threat of New World screwworm (NWS). The first port of entry reopened was in Douglas, Ariz. USDA plans to reopen ports in Santa Teresa, NM, and Columbus, NM, next, the dates still to be determined. Read more here.
