FDA Advances Removal of Two Petroleum -Based Food Dyes

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on July 22 issued a final order revoking the authorized use of Orange B as a color additive in food and proposed to revoke the authorized use of Citrus Red No. 2 as a color additive in food. Both ingredients are petroleum-based color additives. Read more here.
