DOJ Challenging CA Laws Impacting Egg prices

The Department of Justice announced a lawsuit against the State of California and Governor Gavin Newsom, claiming certain state laws led to the rise in the cost of eggs nationwide. The lawsuit includes three California laws, including Proposition 12, which looks to extend cage-free housing systems for laying hens.
