Food advertising targeted to Hispanic and Black youth: Contributing to health disparities

Research

This report found that Black children and teens viewed 70% more food-related TV ads compared with their White peers. Fast-food and other restaurants comprised almost one-third of food-related ads viewed by Black and White youth in all age groups. This data supports the concerns that racial-ethnic targeted food marketing likely contributes to health disparities. Download the PDF here.
